Accommodation in Ambleside

We have two cottages ideally situated close to the centre of Ambleside and all the town has to offer. Shepherds Fold is a two-bedroom (one twin, one double) cottage located in the conservation area and offering comfortable accommodation for four people. High View is a stone-built Victorian house offering comfortable accommodation for six people. It provides a perfect base for a family holiday with three bedrooms (one Queen, one double, one twin), two bathrooms and a large dining kitchen. Both properties have quality furniture and colour-co-ordinated soft furnishings and and the kitchens include fully integrated appliances and quality cookware, crockery and cutlery. Flat screen televisions, DVD players and CD/radio players are also provided. The cottages are ideally located on quiet lanes with very limited through traffic and within a 3-minute stroll from all the restaurants and shops.

A warm welcome awaits you at The Anchorage, our conveniently situated guest house, just two minutes' level walk from Ambleside village centre. Each of our centrally heated double rooms is tastfully decorated and comfortably furnished, with lovely view of the fells and surrounding countryside. All our rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryers, colour TV and radio alarm clocks, and all are en-suite. Drying facilities available. We also have our own car park which can accomodate all guest cars. Open Christmas and New Year. As weekends are very busy we mainly do two night stays, but do ring or e-mail to check if we have availability. Our prices start at £26.00 per person for our small en-suite and up to £35 per person for our superior rooms. Buckle Yeat Guest House is situated in the village of Near Sawrey, which is an ideal location for touring the English Lake District and discovering the real Lakeland. Hill Top Farm, former home of the writer,Beatrix Potter is situated almost next door to our guest house. 'Buckle Yeat' is famous for its connections with Beatrix Potter, the cottage being illustrated in the 'Tale of Tom Kitten' and 'The Pie and the Patty Pan' A traditional Lakeland cottage with oak beams,flag floors, and an open log fire in the visitors lounge,spacious dining room and en-suite guest rooms, which are tastefully decorated and furnished with your comfort in mind each also have the additional comforts of tea and coffee making facilities, televisions and we also have free Wifi access for guests with their own laptops and a laptop available for guests to check their email and access the internet.
