The guest rooms are en-suite and have been newly refurbished - 32"Sony LCD T.V's (19" in single), radio alarm clocks, hot drinks trays and hair dryers come as standard. Also, we have a superior bay-windowed room with luxurious king-sized bed available to add a little extra something to the occasion! Full English and vegetarian breakfasts, using only top quality local produce, are served in our comfortable dining room to set you up for a day's activities -sightseeing, walking or cycling. We are within easy walking distance of the two resort villages of Windermere and Bowness or the lake itself. This provides a most convenient location, close to the many amenities, yet by our being just outside the village centres themselves, it also ensures you peace and quite. Further, "Fir Trees" serves as an excellent base from which to travel to any corner of the Lake District and still easily return at the end of the day.

Our bedrooms are lovely, all furnished and decorated to a very high standard and all have private bath or shower room en suite, tea & coffee-making facilities and televisions. A few, because of their particularly large size, are especially suitable for families.

Kenilworth is a grand 4 star Victorian guest house built in 1896 and is centrally located in the town of Windermere, a short walk to the local shops, cafes and restaurants.

Many period features have been retained, but under our ownership all of the rooms have been refurbished and redecorated to offer very warm and welcoming bed and breakfast accommodation.

Our hearty breakfasts are cooked to order and include locally made Cumberland sausage and free-range eggs delivered from the local farm. We do of course serve lighter or vegetarian alternatives, and all meat and non-meat items are cooked and served separately. There is a selection of cereals to choose from as well as grapefruit, fruit juice and fresh toast, with a plentiful supply of tea, coffee or herbal infusions.

We have some private off-road parking and there is ample free parking on Holly Road. Even without your own transport, getting around the Lake District is straightforward using Kenilworth Guest House as your base, and mini-bus tours can be arranged to collect you from the door.

For everyone's safety and comfort we are a completely non-smoking guest house.

Located in the pretty village of Troutbeck and enjoying magnificent views High Fold Guest House is less than 3 miles from Windermere and the lakeshore. All our rooms are en-suite and have good views of the local fells. Guests not wishing to drive to enjoy evening and lunchtime meals will find good food, fine wines and ales at two excellent Inn/restaurants, both within walking distance of High Fold Guest House. High Fold Guest House is a VisitBritain four star guest house. We regret we cannot offer accommodation to children under 10. Please note: High Fold Guest House is completley no smoking and guests' pets are not allowed in the Guest House.
