Meadfoot offers bed and breakfast accommodation in a peaceful and quiet setting but within 2 minutes walk of the lively Lake District village of Windermere. The guest house is located on the edge of Windermere village and is therefore ideally situated for the local shops, pubs, restaurants and other amenities. Although close to this bustling and lively Lake District village, Meadfoot is a detached guest house set in its own grounds and has an almost secluded nature. In addition to the private car park there is a large garden with patio and summerhouse for guest use. Sometimes Deer can be seen wandering in the grounds. The bedrooms are tastefully furnished with traditional pine furniture;some are ground floor,some are 4 posters and some have direct access from the room to the garden.

We have a beautiful 18th Century Cottage in Tirril, just 4 miles from J40 of the M6 and only 2.5 miles from Pooley Bridge. We have a familly suite that sleeps 4 people with its own en-suite facilities. There is another double room with its own en-suite as well as a further room that can be set up as a twin or double. This room also has its own facilities. A log burning stove awaits you in the lounge where you can relax after an energetic (or lazy) day in the beautiful Lakeland countryside. We pride ourselves on making you feel at home and you will also be treated to a filling Cumbrian Breakfast using local free range eggs and sausage. The village boasts the 2003 Pub of the Year and has its own selection of home brewed beers as well as guest beers and a superb restaurant.

Ivy Bank is a pretty Victorian house retaining many original features. Situated on a quiet road away from main thoroughfares but within a few minutes walk of the village centre and within thirty minutes walk of several excellent viewpoints, the lakeshore and tumbling waterfalls.
