The Willowsmere was built around 1860 as an imposing Lakeland family residence, it has been tastefully restored and renovated to a high standard and includes the luxuries that you would expect if staying in a fine English hotel. The guesthouse has 13 en suite bedrooms all recently refurbished including new luxury pocket sprung beds and those little extras that make your stay a pleasant and relaxing one. There are 2 lounges for guests use and a large landscaped secluded garden where you can enjoy a drink from the well-stocked cellar. The Willowsmere has a large off road car park and is centrally located; 8 minutes walk from Windermere centre and train station and 5 minutes walk from the tranquil shores of Lake Windermere. Ample and safe parking for up to 6 cars in the concealed private drive. Delicious breakfasts with lots of choice,from traditional english to aga pancakes - inc warm homemade bread.... We can accommodate a maximum of 6 guests in 3 bedrooms - all are ensuite - huge and heavenly beds, lovely linen, tv dvd etc. A third twin bedroom adjoins one of the doubles and makes a great "family and friends" hideaway.We welcome children over 10. Lowfell is totally non smoking - however, we don't in the least mind puffers in the bushes. This charming traditional Lakeland house offers comfortable accommodation in a great location, in the centre of the village of Windermere, in the heart of the beautiful Lake District. The superb location makes Lingmoor Guest Accommodation a great base from which to explore the stunning natural beauty and breathtaking scenery of the Lake District, which so inspired Wordsworth, Wainwright and Beatrix Potter. Windermere’s train and coach station is just a 3-minute walk away and all of the town’s pubs and restaurants are within easy walking distance. This family-run house was built in 1854, by and for the local railway, which arrived in Windermere at that time. Today, the house still retains its beautiful original exterior, its slate roof and several other lovely period features. Wills and Pauline would like to welcome you to Rayrigg Villa Guest House, a seven en-suite bedroom, four star Victorian building built in 1873 for a prosperous corn merchant. The building stands on the edge of the village overlooking Ellerthwaite Square with restaurants,shops and pubs all within 2 minutes walk and taxis and buses at front door which can take you to Bowness on windermere where you can enjoy Lake Windermere and all the many attractions it has eg boat trips,Beatrix Potter Aquarium of Lakes etc.Breakfast is served in our recently refurbished dining room from 8-9am only and vacate time is 10am.Rayrigg Villa is a fully non smoking Guest House.Broadband is available and free use of nerby leisure club.
