Balcony house is a Victorian family-run bed and breakfast offering clean, quality accommodation at an affordable price. We are located on the north side of Kendal, a historical market town ever expanding and offering numerous shops pubs and restaurants. We offer 2 en suite double rooms and the balcony room with four-poster bed and private bathroom directly opposite the room. Breakfast and free use of a local hotel pool, gym and spa is included in the cost of your stay.

The County Hotel, an historic former Coaching Inn situated in the centre of town. Here you can look forward to a warm welcome from our General Manager and staff. The hotel features a lovely dining room complete with sprung dance floor, a pleasant lounge and two well-stocked bars. All 37 bedrooms are en suite and include colour tv, telephone and tea and coffee making facilities also all our bedrooms are non-smoking. Entertainment is regularly featured, and a lift serves all floors. Limited parking outside, free parking in railway station opposite.

This Grade II listed Georgian building (1812), retains many original Regency period features and is a home from home: a comfortable place in which to relax and unwind.
