Many period features have been retained, but under our ownership all of the rooms have been refurbished and redecorated to offer very warm and welcoming bed and breakfast accommodation.
All of the bedrooms are now en-suite and include king-size double, doubles, twin, family and single bedrooms - do please click through to our own web-site to find out more about our guest house and view photos of each of the bedrooms - link at top of page.
Our hearty breakfasts are cooked to order and include locally made Cumberland sausage and free-range eggs delivered from the local farm. We do of course serve lighter or vegetarian alternatives, and all meat and non-meat items are cooked and served separately. There is a selection of cereals to choose from as well as grapefruit, fruit juice and fresh toast, with a plentiful supply of tea, coffee or herbal infusions.
We have some private off-road parking and there is ample free parking on Holly Road. Even without your own transport, getting around the Lake District is straightforward using Kenilworth Guest House as your base, and mini-bus tours can be arranged to collect you from the door.
For everyone's safety and comfort we are a completely non-smoking guest house.

A warm welcome and a memorable holiday experience awaits you at Meadfoot Guest House with your hosts Sandra and Tim Shaw. Meadfoot offers bed and breakfast accommodation in a peaceful and quiet setting but within 2 minutes walk of the lively Lake District village of Windermere. The guest house is located on the edge of Windermere village and is therefore ideally situated for the local shops, pubs, restaurants and other amenities. Although close to this bustling and lively Lake District village, Meadfoot is a detached guest house set in its own grounds and has an almost secluded nature. In addition to the private car park there is a large garden with patio and summerhouse for guest use. Sometimes Deer can be seen wandering in the grounds. The bedrooms are tastefully furnished with traditional pine furniture;some are ground floor,some are 4 posters and some have direct access from the room to the garden.

Built in 1897 of traditional Lakeland stone, Newstead Guest House is a very fine example of a detached Victorian villa. The guest house retains many original features including Victorian rose terrace, splendid hall and staircase, marble fireplaces, mahogany woodwork, and even its serving bells.
The guest house has been stylishly refurbished to a very high standard with the extensive use of designs from the Arts and Crafts, Art Noveau and Gothic movements recalling the splendour of Victorian times. There are 9 colourful, interior designed, en-suite guest bedrooms comprising double, twin, family, and larger deluxe mahogany 4 posters including super-king size 4 poster beds.
