Kenilworth is a grand 4 star Victorian guest house built in 1896 and is centrally located in the town of Windermere, a short walk to the local shops, cafes and restaurants.

Many period features have been retained, but under our ownership all of the rooms have been refurbished and redecorated to offer very warm and welcoming bed and breakfast accommodation.

Our hearty breakfasts are cooked to order and include locally made Cumberland sausage and free-range eggs delivered from the local farm. We do of course serve lighter or vegetarian alternatives, and all meat and non-meat items are cooked and served separately. There is a selection of cereals to choose from as well as grapefruit, fruit juice and fresh toast, with a plentiful supply of tea, coffee or herbal infusions.

We have some private off-road parking and there is ample free parking on Holly Road. Even without your own transport, getting around the Lake District is straightforward using Kenilworth Guest House as your base, and mini-bus tours can be arranged to collect you from the door.

For everyone's safety and comfort we are a completely non-smoking guest house.

Debbie and Dave welcome you to Cambridge House, situated in the centre of Windermere in the heart of the English Lake District. Cambridge House is a small, friendly family owned guest house built in the traditional Lakeland style. Inspected by the English Tourist Council & Visit Britain and Graded 4 Star Guest House for quality assurance. Ivy Bank is a pretty Victorian house retaining many original features. Situated on a quiet road away from main thoroughfares but within a few minutes walk of the village centre and within thirty minutes walk of several excellent viewpoints, the lakeshore and tumbling waterfalls. Guests staying at Ivy Bank can use our membership of a local leisure club. Including free use of swimming pool, sauna, steam room, spa-bath, gym, badminton and snooker. We provide an informal and relaxing atmosphere, comfortably furnished, attractively decorated rooms and an excellent choice for breakfast. We have off road parking and safe storage for bikes. Aromatherapy, Sports and Remedial Massage available on site. Free wireless internet access.

Built in 1613 as the village grammar school Laurel Cottage is a traditional family run Guesthouse, set in a superb location in the centre of Bowness. Only one minute's stroll to Bowness Bay and its amenities. You can park you car in our car park and walk to all the local Restaurants, Cafes and Shops. Many people start/finish the Dales way Walk here at Laurel Cottage. We offer freshly cooked Breakfast served in the oak beamed dining room, or in the bedroom in our four poster rooms.
