From Ulverston you can visit the Peninsula's prime tourist attractions including the much acclaimed South Lakes Wildlife Park plus the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam Railway and of course Ulverston is the childhood home of Stan Laurel and you can visit the museum and new statue, both of which are a short stroll away from the house.
