April cottage is a family run friendly Bed and Breakfast overlooking open countryside and the Lake District Mountains of Blencathra and the Hellvelyn Range. There are three bedrooms available, one of which is a kingsize en-suite(sleep 3) and one king size (sleeps 3) with private facilities and one double with private facilities(sleeps 2). The Queens Head is a local 18th century pub within walking distance located in the village of Tirril - serving their famous pies from the Pie Mill at Threlkeld. It is a Robinsons brewery but does stock guest beers.Activities within the vicinity are Pony Trecking from Tirril, Alternative Coast to Coast Route, Golf in Penrith, sailing and canoeing on the lake.
