The Varley family have managed Aynsome Manor since 1981, creating an elegant, comfortable and tranquil atmosphere, maintaining period features throughout the building, part of which date back to 1512, although the main house is a mere 'pup' at 1740, with later additions in 1840, such as the large glass cupola. The Georgian dining room with its ornate tongue and ball ceiling, old portraits and dark panelling, offers AA Red Rosette Cuisine. The 12 bedrooms built mainly around the courtyard offer high levels of amenities and comfort. Two are in a separate cottage a few paces across the courtyard.
