The bed rooms are modern and spacious, with proper coffee, fresh milk, teas, White Company soaps, flat screened digital TVs, CD and DVD players and Ipod docking stations. The guests rave about our breakfasts: freshly cooked with specialities such as eggs benedict, Arnold Bennett, kedgeree, fresh fruit and the one offs- pancakes covered with blueberry maple syrup or banana smoothies. We have a wide selection of fine wines and a range of local and continental bottled beers. We offer cold meat and cheese platters, home made pies and at week ends two and three course dinners. Located just ten minutes from Windermere and Bowness-on-Windermere, this 4 stargold award winning, smoke-free guest house has an extensive breakfast menu from fresh local produce, plus home made biscuits in the bedrooms. This traditionally built Lakeland-stone house sits in its own gardens; the atmosphere is relaxed and tranquil. Upon entry guests will be immediately aware that Glenville still holds a lot of its original character.All 7 bedrooms are of a comfortable size. Consisting of 5 Classic Doubles and 2 Superior Double rooms, which have been refurbished in early 2011. Classic rooms have King sized beds. Superior rooms are even larger and have a bath and shower in the en-suite, one of these rooms is located on the ground floor overlooking the front garden and the other has a Super King sized bed.
